Is hunting your favorite activity?  The Historic Fort Peck Hotel is centrally located in the best hunting districts in Montana. If big game is your specialty we have the best deer hunting in the state. The area also offers excellent antelope hunting and unbelievably good elk hunting. We even have Big Horn Sheep in the area.

Perhaps you are a bird hunter and enjoy working with your dogs. Well Eastern Montana, again, is the best the state has to offer. It is the only place where FWP has pheasant restoration programs. It is very common for several hunters and their dogs to limit out on pheasants by lunch time. The area has Sharp Tail Grouse, Hungarian Partridge and Sage Hens with generous limits. IF you are a water fowl hunter a lot of people believe we have the best in the entire United States. We have lake 156 miles long with the Missouri River leading out of it. The lake is surrounded with peas, beans, lentils, corn and wheat. It is the perfect combination for a water fowl hunter. You don’t have to fight for a space to hunt or put up your decoys. There are miles of rivers and thousands of acres and fields. Access is usually very good.

Maybe you are a predator hunter. There are more coyotes in the area than anyone wants. Most people have great success calling coyotes in. There is also prairie dog hunting in the area.

The hotel also has refrigeration and freezer space for you cleaned birds so you don’t have to keep your game in a cooler for a week. The hotel has an in-house outfitter where you can arrange to be guided for many of these species.
