The Historic Fort Peck Hotel not only offers a taste of history but also has a cultural exchange between Fort Peck and the rest of the world. The hotel hires foreign exchange students from countries all around the world. From China, Russia, Kurdistan, Kazakhstan, Jamaica, Mongolia and many other countries. These foreign exchange students are usually juniors in college with very difficult majors. Most of the students can speak at least 3 languages. They come to United States to learn our language and our culture. They are treated to everything Montana has to offer from Rodeos to theater, water skiing, fishing and even flying in private plans thanks to our some of our local community and of course lots of shopping!!!

These students work hard to make your stay at The Historic Fort Peck Hotel a pleasurable one. You will meet them in our restaurant as servers, behind our bar and our front desk eager to talk with Americans. The exchange students make many friends with our customers and continue to keep in touch with a lot of the people they meet after they they leave for their home land. Most would like to return to work at the hotel but are unable to because their Visa 1 program only allows one time.
